Local Heritage at St Andrew’s

Open every day (daylight hours)

Clock-sm

You are welcome to visit and explore the church and churchyard during daylight hours.

If you bring your smartphone or tablet you can access our free digital heritage guide to the church and additional information about the village and the people who have lived here over the past 800 years.

We also have a paper leaflet highlighting key features within the church, a church quiz sheet (age 9+) prepared for St Andrew’s by NADFAS (National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies) and a buzzy bee paper trail hunt around the church for younger children with parents or carer.

These can be found in the children’s corner to the right of the church as you enter.

Coffee Mornings

at St Andrew’s

We hold coffee mornings several times a year in the church when villagers can get together for a chat over coffee and cakes. Visitors are welcome to join us.

Our next coffee mornings will take place in the church from 10.30am to 12 noon on:
– Wednesday 15th May
– Wednesday 12th June 2024

If you require any information about the coffee mornings and would like to be included on a circulation list for them, please contact Karen (01249 782854 or karen@shrubhouse.com)

A Midsummer’s Evening Concert

We are delighted to announce an enchanting evening of music with Chiltern Winds, an award winning quintet of graduates from the Royal Academy of Music. The concert will take place on Saturday 29th June at 7.30pm.

Please contact Julie Hare for tickets (phone 07580 537005/01249 782227 or email juliehare@hotmail.com).

Keep a look out for information about our Sunday services at 11am on the 1st and 3rd Sundays in the month and other events such as coffee mornings and Heritage Open Days (13th and 14th September 2024).

The church interior can be a welcome cool retreat in hot weather, and around the church there is plenty of local craftsmanship on display and information about the church and local community and its history. Bring your smartphone and try out our free digital heritage tour.

Cards and local walk guidebooks can be purchased inside the church.
