We were delighted that Dr Chris Stephens, a local resident and Director of the Holburne Museum in Bath, agreed to do a second art talk to help raise much needed funds for Castle Combe and Slaughterford churches’ building repairs. It was another stimulating and informative evening with many entertaining personal insights.
On the baby grand that was recently donated to the church, Eric Gough played the piano (wonderfully) offering us all a wide range of popular music from Gershwin to jazz as people arrived and enjoyed a glass of wine before the start of the talk. Afterwards we all enjoyed further drinks and refreshments and an opportunity to chat to Chris and many others.
